Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

Use a red scotchbrite pad (try NAPA auto parts) to skuff it up. You have to get the gloss off of it or the paint won’t stick.

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Just finished this one up last night. eBay body and short scale fretless neck. DiMarzio Area J Pups, the rest from Stewmac. I absolutely hate rattle can paint. It came out ok but what a pain. Next time I will use my spray gun ;)

That’s pretty much what I have in mind. Just some finish work. He only had 2 available on eBay,the other was kind of a Tele style.

It’s an Eden. Seems pretty good for the price. Fretboard is flat and straight. Had them do the headstock shaping and drilling. They did an excellent job. Not much to do except light sanding and finish. The body will take a lot of shaping to get what I want, but I expected that.

New winter project. Fretless 30” maple neck, alder body designed for short scale. Both from eBay. Haven’t decided on a finish yet. I’ll make up my mind after I get the wood work done

I don’t know the exact weight but it feels about the same as my Mustang PJ. If you want a really light one take a look at the Hofner Club Bass. Mine feels to be about half the weight of the others. Has a nice neck and sounds good too. :)

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Correct, the neck and fretboard are flush with the body.

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Set neck on the ignition. I was thinking about a button on the body like a Les Paul Guitar but I think the wood is too thin. I’ll stick to the headstock.

Mine is an ignition so that won’t work. Hopefully a German made 500/2 is in my near future:-)

Just wondering how you attach the strap. On mine if I use the button on the base of the neck it wants to flip forward. So I opted to attach it like an acoustic with the attachment at the head.
