I had one a few years ago for a while. didnt really notice much hiss at clean levels, but I feel it was a one trick/sound pony. Does the GK sound well enough, and I guess thats why you would get it, but I didnt find it too versatile in the EQ dept if I wanted to get a more vintage sound.

Another vote for the Bass Driver Elite. It's not like other T21 gear, in that it does that not have the baked in sound unless you want it. Full probgamalbe, including where there EQ points are at, and the Q for each of them. IR's which give it the edge over a lot of preamps, simple but effective...

Yeah. You can change anything you want to any of the presets. Works really well over Bluetooth if you get the Widi jack.

Although i have mentioned it, i wouldn’t use an iPad much. My main use for the app would be tweaking at rehearsals and for that id only use a phone. At home id just use the T21 app (although not as good as yours) on my MacBook. Saying that, seeing it all on a larger screen would be cool.

Why the Ultra DI and not the BDI-21? Thats the clone of the Sansamp. It's great, ive used one on and off for decades. Id certainly give another vote to the MUX ML preamp. Sounds great and having the IR's on either outputs really makes a difference IMO.

Well other than the obvious that you get 128 slots vs 3 in performance mode, performance mode also makes it fast to select the slot you want. You don’t have to scroll. Damn, sorry about the typos lol. For my use, Performance mode just gives me faster access to the 3 presets I use.
