I had one a few years ago for a while. didnt really notice much hiss at clean levels, but I feel it was a one trick/sound pony. Does the GK sound well enough, and I guess thats why you would get it, but I didnt find it too versatile in the EQ dept if I wanted to get a more vintage sound.

Why do you say that? Do you mean because they can see value in something they shouldnt be musicians?
This isnt from experience, just something I would do when I see people spending that sort of money just to do some basic stuff that a pedal that costs many times less can do. Nothing to do with a new hobby. Just being realistic that not everyone can afford these things. and most that can dont need them.

Well, firstly (and seriously) it seems mean. If anyone laughed at me for how much I spent on guitar stuff I'd be questioning whether I wanted to play music with them or hang out with them, it's not really cool to judge other people's choices like that is it? I don't place a great deal of value on having a super luxury car. My car is nice and new and comfortable and reliable but it isn't fancy it does not impress the ladies. But I'm not going to laugh at people who do put value in that, it's their life and their money, not mine.

Secondly, and specifically to music: lol. What? Are we only allowed gear that we actually need now? Do I have to stop using my custom shop Warwick because I'm just an average bass player? Dentists and lawyers the world over are about to crash the market for vintage Fender and Gibsons when they have to sell up.

Anyway my point was simply that the OP has an Anagram, they like the Anagram. The Anagram does everything they need. I assume they can afford it, because they currently have it. If the impetus to move is because they want to try something new then fine. If the impetus to move was that they somehow feel unworthy of it or they're not using enough of the features or whatever as might be implied in the post, then I just felt like telling them that perhaps they should reevaluate if that was a good reason for them to move, IMO nobody else cared. But, apparently, you do.

If you like the Anagram for what it gives you and you can afford the cost then it's a no-brainer. Some of the options listed may have baked in limitations which may prove frustrating.

One thing I've learned about pedals and tone searching is that there's a moving target aspect to it. As soon as you get everything something else occurs to you and you're moving pedal order, reconsidering power and contemplating a bigger board(or smaller). It can be an endless road to disappointment or intrigue.

I've been super curious about the Anagram and the concept of a one pedal solution. It seems like it is covering most needs and they're constantly updating and upgrading. However I use a Source Audio centered board with a tube DI(Sushi box Finally) that covers what I need. So I simply can't justify a change. I don't perform or record enough.

Good luck figuring everything out.
