I think I’m going to actually do it. I recently bought a PRS employee guitar, built for a Private Stock builder, that he built for himself. Absolutely amazing, I got rid of my Les Paul, my Strat and my import PRS. It’s the ONE, and made more progress on guitar than I had in several years...

The modes are great, also Ibanez has some more subtle fanned frets. I’m not a fanned fret guy at all, but something that just adds an inch or two, works better for me. After 43 years of playing my hand is used to what has always been.

For the old school Spector tone you best bet is the current Doug Wimbish, EMG with vintage voicing.
