No, nothing unusual. Interesting to note, I just came up with the idea of tightening my smallest crescent wrench - the only thing here close to a C clamp - and it worked like a charm. I will now figure out whether to use John's method or just clamp something.

I have a bit of an unusual dead spot: I have a '92 Jazz Bass Plus and the dead spot is at the 7th fret, D string (A note). Interesting, it is not even slightly present on any other A note, fretted or harmonic or anywhere else on the neck for that matter, not even the C on the G string (the usual...
