    For Sale 1980's D'marzio jazz-style bass

Early 1980's D'marzio that I have owned for many years. The previous owner must have played with a pick. I am deaf and have worn out wrists from industrial work. I purchased a new $300+ Allparts neck and $150+ Schaller tuners. They are gold plated as the other old hardware is brass or gold...

    2011 Mojo bassman...$650

I bought the kit in 2011 and had it professionally soldered by Billy Penn (Pennalizer amps) last November/December. I added my own tubes (new ElectroHarmonix). Nice vintage sound. With good tubes the kit is about $775. I paid $425 to have it professionally soldered and tested. I made my...

    MY EARS!

Almost all of them sell individual packs of earplugs. Maybe 35 cents a pack. Buy 2 or 3 different ones and figure out what you like. Get some with the dip on them like the orange ones in the picture. The ones with open foam are harder, dry out ears more, and attract dirt. I cannot hear any...

    pickups screwed into wood?

There was a little black foam still stuck to the underside of the pickups. The foam had turned to dust. I cut off a nice 1/2" slice from a new spongemop head. Might have to cut it down a little more. My neck shipped today so I will be able to install it in a couple days. It is my only bass...

    pickups screwed into wood?

I have used the toothpick method before. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a part. I will round up a 3/8" thick cube of foam to put on the backside of the pickup. That, combined with the springs should do the job.

    pickups screwed into wood?

I am cleaning my 1982? DiMarzio "J bass" body and will be putting on an allpars fretted neck. The pickups are standard Bart. J bass pickups. They have the little springs on the screws which have lost their springy-ness. Upon unscrewing the pickups I see the screws just go into the wood. The...

    D'Marzio J bass body?

I sold the fretless P bass neck today and haven't decided what to do with the body. Might get a fretted J bass neck or even something with a square headstock and make a bass for my daughter. She is 10 years old and been playing a squier Bronco for 2 years. It has a short scale and has worked...

    D'Marzio J bass body?

I have the same body shape, same gold jack/knob plate, but different brass bridge. I think my saddles are an early Gotah, but maybe something else.
