Keep in mind, I need 2 tweeters, so they can't be too powerful

Hey.. Need some help from people that know what's going on.. I have a pair of 15" selenium 8ohms 600w RMS drivers and custom enclosures. From the top of your head, what tweeters/crossovers would suite them?

Man I had the same problem, only mine made cracking noises... Turned out to be a faulty power tube.. Take it to a tech that could check each tube individually, that way you won't have to spend a fortune on the whole set...

It depends on what tone you're looking for, the right thing to do is to hear it for yourself... I only use the power section of the amp with an RBI preamp.. It's a perfect combination for me.. No solid state beats the warmth and clarity of 12 tubes man!!!

Nice rig themacinator.. Mine is similar, all going through 400+ return jack.. That big block on a pic is temporary

I'm using sansAmp RBI as a preamp, plugged into the return jack.. It works fine with my SS big block.. I had a 4 ohm cab plugged into a 2 ohm slot.. Think i fried the tubes..

Off topic question: What are the first signs of the tubes going bad in an amp? I bought my 400+ used and it started to make a weird static noise recently... Should I take it to the shop or just change the tubes?

What are the first signs of tubes needing replacement, anyone?

Just got a 400+ my firs tube amp.. Had two 4ohm cabs in the top jacks, than took one out, was playing with one 1516b for a month (which wasn't a problem with my big block 750). Didn't know anything about the ohms obviously, the guy who sold me the amp never told me anything, therefore I didn't...

Thank you all!!! I'm not concerned about weight since I have a Mesa 1516b to drag around for rigs... Just need more low end (balls) on rehersals.. I found this place they showed me this monster Beyma L-45 21" driver.. it's built in Spain, over a 1000w RMS for $1400... is that a stupid idea...

I've got chance to buy a couple of Eminence Professional Series DEFINIMAX4015LF - 15" Woofer: $200 each.. Are they decent speakers?

I want to build a cab with 18" and two 12" drivers.. Anyone think it's a good idea?
