I don't know if this is the place to ask this question but here goes anyway. I've noticed "agedhorse" is on this thread so I'll query him and anyone else. My Walkabout Scout combo has been a steady gig companion for over 10 years. I've recently noticed that there is a wierd crackle noise...
I have multiple basses for multiple "colors" of tones:
5 string MTD with round wound strings is my main gigging instrument. Not too expensive to take to a gig.
5 string MTD with flat wound strings as a backup gigging instrument...as backup and for that flatwound sound during a gig.

Checking s/n with police to make sure item isn't stolen is standard practice when trading in items with music stores. In California, a used item in a music store taken in on trade is routinely kept for a period of time to clear "police hold" period to see if the s/n is reported stolen. I agree...

I'm a fan of 19mm string spacing and somewhat compact body styles. I've settled on MTDs. My main axe is a Z5 and my backup is an Heir. All have 19mm string spacing. I'm told some of the import Lakland's (55-01) also have 19mm string spacing. Good luck.

Hey TBers,
I'm about ready to embark on my qty 2 ea Fearful 12/6 Cube build. I plan on building my own CBG crossovers for the Alpha Neo mid but I'm at a loss as to where to best mount it. Suggestions?
