    High action and intonation

I find you have to get the strings pretty high before it impacts intonation. If you're wanting perfect intonation across a parallel fretboard, that isn't going to happen and it has nothing to do with your string height. We set our intonation as a happy middle ground. If you want intonation to be...

    Sharp fret ends (not sprout)

I mean, I didn't say it had to do with "professionalism". Amateurs tend to be far more careful because they are working on their own equipment. Professionals are looking to get the job done quickly and satisfactorily. I have seen basses worth thousands of dollars come into the back of the shop...

    Going to one

That photo collection is full of bass superstars. Where were you that day? Nice bass too. Definitely thought it was a Ken Smith at first glance.

Fretless Players: Does Switching to a Multiscale Bass affect your Intonation?

I don't switch between them often these days but I never had an issue. My biggest issue when switching to fanned-frets is just the oddball stuff, like double stops or two-handed tapping on the high-end of the board. Standard playing is pretty seamless in my experience.

    Sharp fret ends (not sprout)

An amateur would do the job with a small file. A professional would use a long straight-edge block to knock them down.

    My opinion on Dingwall

The proper use of the Oxford comma makes me believe this is true. ;)

Sudden fret sprout after dehumidifying basement (80% down to 45% RH) – Ebony board issue?

Yeah, get your frets dressed in February. That will be the end of the issue.

Fender p bass maintenance, what do I do.

Is this a new Fender? Odd to see it without any kind of shielding paint. They usually put some thin, crappy, stuff in for the last 15~ years.

Why do people do this? Sell things that are not.

I once sold a bass. I had it listed here on TB. It had some "famous" pickups in it. I traded it away to a fellow. Years later, I had a TBer reach out to me about the bass. Turns out the current owner was selling it as a bass once played by said "famous" player (and asking a premium). I quickly...

How do you make your neighbor's dog stop barking?

Who is to say the OP is American? It certainly seems like an ongoing issue not "at the drop of a hat". You know what they say about people who assume...

33.25" Ric scale - your opinion?

Whew, I was worried Marko was back "taking customers" again when I saw this bumped. For reference: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/hammersmith-k4-talkbass-special-model.1266335/

How do you make your neighbor's dog stop barking?

Gosh, the audacity of some people, right? How dare people use a public service as designed!

    Should I keep this bass?

This is funny as an old player. You used to be able to find used Stingray's for $1000~ all day long about 10-15 years ago. New ones were nowhere near what they cost now. I traded a $500~ guitar rig for mine many moons ago. EBMM has always had a great quality control so they were always such a...

    Questions regarding Jerzy Drozd's guide

You'd be better off just using a good ruler off the fret instead of those gauges.
