That's what I was most likely going to do, I'm always just a little leery of everything coming on at once.

Looking for a rack today to put my pre and poweramp into. The pre has the power switch on the back, the poweramp has it on the front. What would YOU use? Leave it all on and get a multi-switch unit? Some kind of open rack thing?

There is also a direct out on the front of the gp7.

It's an x1000. It does have a 1/4" line out, but the crown only has xlr ins.

Thanks. Lucky enough to have speakon and 1/4 if I wanna switch it up. I really dig using guitar tube amps as well for bass.

Just switched and it's working great. Still don't feel good about the speakon to 1/4", but I'll get a speakon to speakon asap.

The crown has a switch to change from 1.4 to .775.

That's what I've found. I've rewired the the speakon adapter, but still not getting the full volume. I'll have go find a new speakon cable. The cab has both speakon and 1/4". After rewiring the speakon though, shouldn't I be getting the full volume?

I've figured it out. 1/4" out of tube heads was never this confusing.
