The MM 5 has a smaller neck at the nut width ( 1.75) as the fender is I believe 1.875 which for me is more comfortable , so if its me I get the ray

I have a stingray copy that is gold and the reason i got is cause i LOVED the gold , mine has maple neck the only thing i'd change about the way it looks id if it had a rosewood board , So i say go for the GOLD

If it is a 1.75 or smaller I'm VERY interested if it's the same as a fender 5 string which is 1.875 then I would not be , If you could please give me an accurate measurement . You can PM me if you like , If it is a 1.75 or very close we can get this done

Yeah bongo , I see but it did not come with a preamp to begin with , the PU tone is not what I want now and I tried a few ways of EQ'ing it and can't get what I want , so will a preamp just make that same sound louder ? I know it will boost a couple Freqs. But can't my eq on my GK mb500 do that...

I play mostly new country and classic rock , looking for a punchy tight lows , not overtly bright , leaning more to replacing the PU and pots , but if a pre amp is better ill go that way
