    Hmmm. If you want to get a good first bass, try the Ibanez GSR200. As for the SX, Iown one, and they are great basses. Most people like to buy them and modify them, but that isn't necessary. The SX and the Ibanez are great starter basses at a modest price.

    I absolutely love this bass! Best 7-string I ever played. She's tuned Low B to High F, and she's got the Gremlin Dragon painted on her. Yup, don't see myself getting rid of her ever.

    As of a few minutes ago, there are 31 in stock now. Get em while they're hot! I'm getting mine next week. Probably the red one, and tune it with a high F. Or maybe a low F#, if it will fit through the bridge.

    Any 8 string bangers besides Stew and John here?

    I have a Galveston 8-string. Tuned F#-F. I had played an Antoniotsai 7-string bass and wanted the extra thunder of a low F#. As far as problems with the low F#, I want something lower, the LOW C#!!!! Jauqo-III-X can give me advice and encouragement with that!

    Galveston unpaired 8-string basses

    Are the 8-string Galveston basses crappy, or are they just gems waiting to be discovered? I recently bought one off of a guy in California, and it hasn't made it here yet, but I want to know if I bought well. I paid $550 and I got a hardshell case. So, tell me...did I make a good buy?
