Still have my bass, which I bought in 1987. It was my main instrument for around 8 years. During this time I changed the pick ups, the tuners, installed a d tuner, changed the bridge, snakeskinned the pickguard and introduced quite a bit of wear and tear. It doesn't really get played these days...
