I posted the other day about enjoying hearing the congregation singing out, pulling the in-ears, (both ears :-) ) and listening to them, until time to play again. It was powerful, and moving! Bring a little older, and no longer liking things quite as loud, I get ribbed a little regarding volume...

And yes, I noticed that I even said, “cranked pretty loud.” That is a relative thing, and I’m the first to yank my monitor if something gets really loud. Sorry, and sorry if I suggested others should “crank” it.

Heard and understood, and rest assured, that I operate this way PART of the time, and try not to crank the volume when I yank the one ear. I’m also “OLD” and like volumes a little lower anyway. (according to my kids) All of that said, the advice is well taken, appreciated, and not to be ignored...

Just had to share. Started this morning’s sets with “Called Me Higher.” I don’t play on the first verse. I had to take the ear buds out and just listen. The congregation had gotten into it and was singing out, and it sounded great! It was really cool to hear!
