Yes, definitely. I honestly think the Vintage Ultra does a better job of doing that than the VT because it is your bass' tone that is mixed in with the magic, not the VT tone. I never realized how much the VT colors the sounds of your bass until I used the Vintage Ultra. Here is my current board.

Quick question...I actually planned on buying the B7K or B7K Ultra this week to replace my VT Bass Deluxe. Now, I already have a B3K on my board, so would the B7K plus B3K be equivalent to owning the B7K Ultra?

I use a Aguilar bass comp, then keep the b3k on at all times and have a VT bass deluxe at the end of the chain. I use the presets for my clean and dirty.

I'm still messing with it haha...i want to run it as an always on pedal but i have a bongo bass with a 4 band eq that tends to complicate things
