I can safely say mine will never leave my board, if only to be able to nail Robert Sledge/Ben Folds Five songs.I do kinda miss the TFR.

Thinking back this was around when I was getting the itch to play again after another long hiatus. Last band broke up around 2001 or so. This latest project has been fun and no one has pie in the sky expectations.I was never a pedal guy till now. It's been a fun but bumpy road back. After the last three years I'm getting back into a groove. Helps it's a low pressure situation.
Here is the latest couple of Mini iterations.
In august I was still trying to keep the blower box and was experimenting with the BDPG for some darker tones.
Just recently needed a volume pedal for a new bass to work out on full stop endings. It's VVT config didn't allow me to do it at the instrument due to my liking of having both pickups up.
In addition since reading up on the SansAmp VTRM pre having a "sonic filter" I pulled the HPF3 out and added the Delay and Wah back.
I'll probably change something again next month. Keep the drummer on his toes.

So…the next round of slight changes.
Replaced MXR Bass Preamp and Phat Phuk B by a Great Destroyer and a Meatbox (the mood seems to be getting more aggressive).
This one was a bit of a puzzling challenge, but after some planning and crazy cabling it was successful.
The conditions:
– All pedals need to fit on a PT Jr.
– The Barbershop serves as always-on preamp thingy, but the Great Destroyer needs to be first in the chain or I would lose the nice oscillation interactions of the pedal and my P's Volume/Tone-controls. Now I have one fuzz before and one after the Meatbox, which is also nice. The Barbershop is now second in the chain.
– The Subterranea needs to be somewhere at the beginning of the chain for better tracking, but also positioned close to the Phase 90, since there's a tune for which I need to activate them both with one step. The Phase 90 in turn needs to be towards the end of the chain (to phase the distortion, fuzz, filter etc.)
– The Proton and the Unpleasant Surprise need to be next to each other, so I can activate them both with one step for nifty synth stuff.

I totally agree. I had one on my board for a very long time...great tone. Never wanted to shut it off!

Potential new setup. I have been asked to run a clean and dirty channel at church so I brought in the LS2 to split it off. I'll use AB mix and use one to go clean, one to go to my other effects. If I ever use just 1 channel than I'll just use the dirty channel.
OFD and OC2 are pre split. I think the OFD will be utilized as high cut, EQ, and volume pedal control for now until either the SA One series bass OD comes out where I can split it there, or I may buy a friends B7K and use that alongside it.
I am having a hard time wrapping my head splitting my signal, where sometimes I do want a clean and dirty mix, but others I may want the clean cut out, or even some effects I may want pre split in some cases but after in others. Work in progress:

I've never tried the B3k so no comparison there. It is super bright, by itself it can sound nasty in a bad way. The toggles really only allow one combo to keep the low end and not thrash your ears with high end.
Once it's put in a mix, then it becomes a great pedal that the highs cut through really nice. It gives a sharp attack pick type tone with out a pick. Even with my T40 that has flats, it gets really bright and crisp.
If I could change it I'd change the filter to a treble control (all cut) and the toggles if just do away with. But as is, it is still a great pedal if you are using it for a certain sound.
The Gnome fits sideways or normal, I just have it this way to dial it in easier.

Just replaced my old Boss TW-1 with the Manta filter. Chain is: VPJR>Bass Whammy>Manta>Corona>DOD 250 clone (white pedal)>Fuzz>HOF>DD-3>Ditto I think I still have space for the Gonkulator reissue and a Hot Hand receiver.
Just finished this little board for practices and bar shows...I save the big board for song writing and big shows
Nice board. I would suggest starting a club for people who keep their VT Bass Character knob up past 3:00 but I'm pretty sure you and I are the only people who do that.
Are you running the VT hot? Noticed your volume knob is way up - unity on mine is around 9:00.
I'm still messing with it haha...i want to run it as an always on pedal but i have a bongo bass with a 4 band eq that tends to complicate things
