Hello,
If anyone has a moment, looking to get a gig bag for an archtop bass recently bought without case. It is a japanese version, similar to guild Starfire / Jack Cassidy shape. Thanks for your time.
When I googled the model number, the vintage guitar guide popped up which helped as well. http://books.google.com/books?id=o_SLwpadkxgC&pg=PA298&lpg=PA298&dq=conrad+40096&source=bl&ots=yP19MpZ6n_&sig=Do9j4hhDGLubnbe3Z-PmVnet0M4&hl=en&sa=X&ei=_h0OU8idOaaysQTl6IH4DQ&ved=0CC0Q6AEwCA
I just meant the comparison chart with pix...it helped me some, although there seems to be a lot of variability in model styles and hardware. I couldn't find any serial # data. My original best guess for the semihollow I just acquired was a model 5020...turns out it is a 40096....wish I could...
Depends on what you're after...with all the variables in the models and your description of the condition, kinda comes down to what u want it for and how much u want it. If a typical one in the vintage book goes for say $150~200, then less than 80 sounds like the right direction...
Hello all, just picked up a Conrad 40096 archtop bass, only needs a little tweaking. I jumped on this axe as I missed my vintage Guild Starfire II, which was stolen years ago. Had forgotten how unique the sound is with these...glad to have one back
Hello, I can see this is an older string of posts, but wanted to ask if anyone might take a moment and chime in on whether they found a good hardshell case solution for their archtop bass. I just picked up a Conrad 40096, which looks just like db4124's axe. Thank you for your time.
