Yes it was in bridge mode. I was simply using the bi amp mode low out as a refernce point to describe the location of the failed resistor. Maybe I could have said it better. I checked as far as verifying there are no shorted transistors on the other side.

Good point. Checking with the manufacturer or a service center before buying an older used amp may reveal some useful info. I'm not going to be attempting any repairs on the amp.
