Hey all, just wondering if any of you guys use the normal long scale Elixir strings (for instance 14202) on any of your 35'' scale Sire basses? I'm planning to restring my 5 string M2. I guess they will not let me string through the body but will they work if I string them through the bridge?

I'm a very new owner of a Laney Digbeth preamp. I mostly use it with my PJ bass with Rottosound flats. The tube simulation is pretty convincing.

Sorry that I couldn't update earlier. I shied away from Nux because I did not want to deal with computer, drivers etc. I went with Laney Digbeth. Had the chance to use it once live. I put a compressor and an octave pedal in front of it and had a pretty solid sound.

Thank you for the suggestion. My opinion is probably not based at all, but Palmer has always struck me as a practice amp primarily. I'll try to do some reading on people's experience with it live.
