I fully agree with your comment about the slave commune! I am trying to not buy from China, doesn't make life easier.

I turned the Rotosound 88s to E standard, I wouldn't try down tuning with them, and I want my strings to be as Balanced as possible.

I only tried one other set of tape wounds, and didn't like them either, so I'm going back to GHS Precision Flats, Regular on G,D,A, and Daddario Cromes. 105 on E, I will try Cromes. 110, to see if it will work for D tuning? I have tried most of the flatwounds, and they worked the best for me.

I found the Rotosound 88 strings to be unbalanced tonally, and to slack, the E sting slides right off the fret board.
