    Need wiring help

You burned your fingers because you essentially connected the red (positive) off of the battery to the black (ground) to the battery. This allows the battery to basicly power itself and get extremely hot. Go to Radio Shack and buy new caps. You probably didn't, but if you did manage to zap...

    Building a 2x18 Cab

Two questions...what are you powering these cabs with? Also are you looking for more low end...you said you like the 410/15 combo...but what do you like about it? Why not just get an 810 that has more of a low presence if that's what you're after. The 810E is a classic choice, but there are...

combination of "4x10" and "1x15" cabs

Regardless of what head you plan on using or buying, and you plan on buying another cab you may as well buy two 4x10s. That HLF is a decent cab, but like others have said, it's more suited to being a lone cab. If you go the 8x10 route youre stuck to just that; one cab. Two 4x10s give you the...

    Gear you swear by

SWR, and Eden...pretty similar until I gained the power and extra bands on the parametric EQ on the WT-800, still have a SWR though. Ernie Ball also gave me great service when I needed a new part for a Sterling.

    Eden 410xlt or ??

I used to have one Eden 410XLT on top of a 15. Then I bought a second XLT and put them together...you will notice a difference when it happens and you will want to keep your 15 because it sounds good, but you will probably do just that: keep it and hardly use it. If you plan on keeping the 400 I...

    Peavey Series 400B

Hey there... I have a Peavey 400 series bass head (the one with the parallel/series inputs) and it needs a new transformer. Does anyone know where I can find one that would work with it? I contacted Peavey, and they said "it was obsolete and not available) I don't believe that there is no...

    Eden WT800 and (2) D410XLT question!

So I picked the head up today, and they said it was a WT800B, but it was really...a WT800C! I guess the sales person couln't read. I had it hooked up with one cab per side, but I will try running it bridged next time. As long as it is safe to use a regular Speakon. I just run a cable from the...

    Eden WT800 and (2) D410XLT question!

I just bought an Eden WT800B and another 410XLT to add to the first one I had. I want to run the two cabs in bridge mode to get the full output of the amp, but I have a question prior to doing so. I have never had a head that could do bridged-mono, so do I need specially wired Speakon cables...

    Good Deal on SWR 350x?

I have had a 350x for about 6 years now, and even though I just bought an Eden head, the 350x will still be in the rack with the new one. Although It only has 350 watts into 4 ohms, it has reliability, and the SWR sound to make up for it. You can usually find a used one for between 400-500, so...

    Tax money head purchase.

Here's the deal: I have a SWR 350x driving a Son of Bertha (rated for 350 watts) and a Eden 410xlt (700 watts). I want to get another 410 at some point so that I'll move more air and not not hear the 15. I also want to buy a new head though, and I kind of want to keep it all to one brand. So...

    Swr, Eden, SUNN

Hey there... I currently have a SWR 350x sitting on top of an Eden 410xlt on top of a SWR Son of Bertha 115. I have the potential of buying a SUNN 1200s (the Fender-ized one) for about 100 dollars. It has a few issues, but I can fix them, and even if I had to take it to a tech for one of them...

Mixing Speaker Cabs - Definitive Answer!

I have a SWR Son of Bertha underneath an Eden 410XLT with a SWR 350x, and with the gain at 1 oclock and the master only at 11 oclock, It sounds really good. I do get a little bit of noise from one of the 10's, but I think it's because the cab was used and I only paid 200 for it.
