Thank you! After a second cleaning and being very careful to center the voice coil when reinstalling, it works! I believe that the later is really what did the trick.

Oh, that was measured on one with a maple fretboard. I don’t know if the rosewood boards produce a different thickness. - I just measured mine (NBD BTW) and the caliper measures a hair shy of 7/8”.
