    Double Bass Evah's - anyone think the D string doesn't sound as good as the others??

    Been loving a set of Evah mediums. But the D string is kind of a dud in the set. E and A have decent high end to them. G is REALLY nice. But the D ..... anyone run into this - or did I get a dud?

    Tom Clement. I own two 7's that I ordered from him. Both killer. I wanted a single cut but 34" scale bolt on so at its core its just a great J bass. Both are. Beautiful too.

    Thanks Gents, How is the volume with the D'Addario Kaplan solos?? Lighter tension is better on my hands but Spiro solos tuned to orch had little volume. ???? thoughts?
