    Scary. My two were fine mechanically (one was totalled by a friend, actually not his fault, and the other was a replacement). The second one rusted out after five seasons of NY winters. They weren't very well rust and salt proofed back then. Now, the Alfa Romeo, that was another story...

    I had a Craftsman electric chain saw for decades (needed a power cord), maybe 30 years. It finally gave up the ghost a couple of years ago when the plastic frame collapsed in on itself. No fixing that one!!!

    I have an early player p (2018) and haven't had any issues with the tuners. I added a detuner on the E string.

    Our band plays "Giving It Up" also, it's a fun tune but not one of my favorites. One we just added that people seem to like and is fun to play is Robert Palmer's "Bad Case of Loving You"..

    I just saw the silver sparkle player 75 on the wall in GC about an hour ago. Very cool. I have two Player I basses, a J and a P. They are both great. Probably will play the J this weekend at a gig. It's the least gigged but I am working on it :cool:

    I feel the same way. Most of the time there are only one or two original members and they’re hanging on by a thread to their voice and playing. I love all that old music, but some of these bands are just tribute bands now in essence.
