Your can use a pasive tone in your Obp 3 just go to best bass gear they have the diagrams so you can adapt your preamp... Another thing that you may have to do is conect all the pots to the ground, and shield the cavity with cooper foild... This is what i dice and i use Aguilar and nordtrand...

i have an Ibanez BTB 1406e Primiun, with Nordstrand Big single coil PU'S and a Ibanez EQb3s, with vol/blend/bass/mid/high/eq bypass on or off/ mid frequensy selector. but this dont have a tone control to use with the passive mode. my question is. If i buy a Nordstrand 3b-5b preamp with a passive...
