I have both. The Jag has better quality overall. better wood, better paint job, better hardware, better pickups. You could also look into the new Squier Mustang bass.

the Jaguar bass sounds and feels amazing for a squire, i don't understand why would someone butcher it. :(

Got it about a week ago, so here is a small review on the URSA 4 SHORT SCALE BASS GUITAR. This is my first SX instrument, so I don't know if I got luck or what but the body on this bass seems to be made of a single piece of alder wood either that or you just can't tell where the two pieces...

my bass came in a couple of days a ago ! (i'll show pictures and give details soon) mine came with a tone pot that crackles. anybody knows of any high quality pots and electronics replacements for the URSA 4 ?

i wonder if SX is ever going to do any matching headstock guitars and basses again. :S i missed out on that.

Any Mariachi traditional song. Most of these tradiotional bands use upright bass with nylon strings i've played many of them, their very easy to play compared to metal string upright basses (american jazz).

I think most people dislike those and jokingly call them "Clownbursts" :rolleyes: but i think they looks great on things with tort guards. :} thanks for the tip, i'll keep an eye open for those, i wish they had a section on their website called B stock, i'd be picking up a lot of stuff from...
