Thanks for your kind answers, i learned a great deal, and Yeah, it's a faux Ripper at the end of the day, but surprisingly well crafted (Brass nut, i.e), maybe i should try those GHS Flats (i love Flats) and switch pickups for some AlNiCo 5 (or 2) pickups.

I saw Fenders 9050s, but never tried them, do they feel more stiff or just taut?

I'm gonna check pickup high as suggested, and i never messed with the wiring of that bass before.

No knobs on the amplifier, it's a Markbass with volume and VPF (?) But with the Precision or the Rick that little amp causes tectonic distress.
