On a related note, how does one buy mid-tier basses these days without flying blind? I tried a Zon Sonus in 1996 in Guitar Center Boston and put down the $2k for a new one after playing the one on the floor. But if I want to buy a new Zon or a MTD, there's no where to play one in the Boston...
