  • I'm on the verge of buying a Fender Rumble 800HD. Good reviews from what I've seen and heard via You Tube. One thing is niggling me though and doesn't seem to be mentioned... there's no cooling fan on the rear of the Rumble. Surely it's going to get too warm and shut off?

From my experience, it doesnt have any cooling problems , as long as you let it have an air gap around it like any other amp. I ran it last summer for a 3-hour set in the summer heat and it didn't give me any issues at all. At the same time, you don't have to run it super high on the volume for it to be "loud enough" for most stages, so it doesn't produce a lot of heat.

I've had mine for about 2 years now and it's been dead reliable and plenty loud for any venue with just the 1x15"; if you have a bigger cab setup, like I do now with my Traynor TC810, it'll be loud enough for your stage volume basically anywhere without breaking a sweat.
