a bass is like a woman. if you touch it right it will give you that sweet sound! a guitar is like.... something else, you have to skrach it with a piece of hard plastic to make it sound the way you want to... :D

i´m thinking of getting an acoustic bass, not a double bass. but an acoustic one. and my question to all of you who has ever owned, played or have any experience of acoustic basses is. Is it worth the money?:help:

when the bassplayer can play the guitar better then the guitarist and still the guitarist thinks he´s cool, cause he can strum in a random pattern with no sense of rythm whatsoever. when the bassplayer can play the drums better than the drummer (seriously he can´t even hold the simplest beat)...

I noticed how fun and cool it is to play funk, but i have a problem. I´m not that good on slapping and when i play fingerwalking - funk, it always becomes a slow and groovy funk, not the fast and energetic funk. The way i play now makes me think a little about some slow Bootsy Collins funk...

what i mean is that i try to start with the root and then i know that you can play the major third and fifth. But i want a funky sound, with sound i mean notes that sound good together and with a riff that sound funky. but also i like melodic things that is slow and harmonic.
