What's your rig of choice for this weekend? Part 2.

Was going to be the two Baer ML 112s. But decided the single BF Big Baby 3 will work fine for this 2 room tavern tonite.

What's your rig of choice for this weekend? Part 2.

This coming Friday, It's gotta be this: 2 Baer ML-112-ll cabs with Mesa WD 800. I usually use one BF Big Baby 3 with Mesa 800-BD at this big club with another band. But I just love the way the Baers' sound. Gonna be a lotta fun 😊

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

I ordered the Mesa BD800 as my first Mesa gear. It was backordered so had to wait. Researching the new Mesa I came across the features that stood out to me on the WD 800 here on TB. Ordered the WD. BD arrived 2 weeks later, parked the WD. Since the BD was easier, to me, to dial in over the WD...

    NCD: Baer ML112 duet

I was very close to trying to find a trade of my WD 800 for a 800+ head. I just couldn't gel with the WD earl on. Esp after the BD800 arrived two weeks later. I felt, from what I've read here, that the 800+ might be more to my liking tone-wise. Heck, I purchased the WD because of the unique...

    NCD: Baer ML112 duet

I too loved the sound of my Eden 210/410XLT cabs. Just didn't love the weight after buying lighter cabs back then. Seems something else better, lighter, louder, etc always comes along. G.A.S. guys, it never ends. But this works for alot of my gigs these days:

    NCD: Baer ML112 duet

Unfortunately I know too well of unplayed bass gear sitting home alone......Thanks Talkbass. 😵‍💫 I was struggling to dial in a useable tone when I bought my WD 800. Two weeks later my BD800 was delivered and I just sorta parked the WD as I found the new Mesa BD easier to dial in a good tone...

    NCD: Baer ML112 duet

It's mostly as a rack compressor. I had it in a 4U Gator case with a Preamp/Crown 1500/Tuner sitting unused. So I put the WD into this 3U rack to better protect the amp better. Decided to add the dbx to see what it might add. Turning it off/on, I can hear how it tightens up the sound in my...

    NCD: Baer ML112 duet

I finally dialed in the Mesa WD 800 where it worked very well with the two Baer ML 112-ll cabs. Stacked! Last night's gig rig:

Mixing Barefaced Super Twin with Mesa Subway Cabs (WD-800)

I found a BF Big Baby ll locally on CL. I wanted a second super 12 but wasn't ready to spring ($$) for a new BF shipped to TX. I found a nice Baer ML 112-ll here on TB and felt I could use it with my BB ll. The combination wasn't really that bad when I tried it first gig. I could've prolly...

New MESA BOOGIE release - MESA/Boogie Bass 800D - 800W Bass Amp Head

Now this belongs here: if I don't use my mini Strobo tuner thru the BD800 USB, I use a small, multi colored USB LED light bar into the Mesa USB for this:

New MESA BOOGIE release - MESA/Boogie Bass 800D - 800W Bass Amp Head

Well Id been avoiding my WD 800 bc my BD800 arrived 2 weeks after the WD and I found it so much easier to dial that amp in, for me. But I recently tried setting the knobs on my WD from a TBers suggestion. That just made the WD finally, for me, sound way better than ever. Of course this is in my...

    Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

I know that the covering(?) on my 1st Gen Big Twin-T that was a couple years old when I bought it was super durable and stayed that way for the few years I owned it Just sold it about 1 month ago. The used BF Big Baby ll that I bought used locally was in good shape when I bought it this past...
