8 bars should be enough. He may be the grooviest guy around, but in that video he doesn't groove at all. Which is kinda essential to slapping.

Are you good at making bass lines from scratch to start a jam? I find I can easily hand out grooves, but my harmonies get repetitive and stale quickly. Should I study harmony?
