I doubt I would do this, just fun concepts. If I ever have a unused piece of ply wood in the future I might consider it.

Yes they do have instrument repair, ill check for any cracks before I see what they can do.

So I'm borrowing an upright bass from my school for the summer and lately there has been a rattle when I play the open E and D string. It kind of sounds like a 'wah' and it sustains a long as the note holds. The sound appears to be coming near the top of the bass above the f holes. Ive checked...
