    Double Bass What kind of endpin tip do I need?

    I've got a similar endpin. I like this endpin-tip: https://gollihurmusic.com/super-endpin-ball-attachment-for-upright-bass-tip-cover/ This model is a lot more durable than most tips. You attach it to the spike below the collar. (Note the picture with the measurements to check.)

    Double Bass pickup for Kay

    I play my '61 Kay Jazzmaster in a local jazz big band. I haven't tried many pickups on it, but I'm very happy with my current set-up, which is a Realist Lifeline straight into an AI Clarus SL. The EQ and HPF on the Clarus work so well that I've given up using a preamp.
