Tonight, I finally decided to pull the trigger on a hartke hd112. Will try and return if not in my palette. I was also keeping an eye on a Eden ex112. We'll see how that sounds.

Question for you guys, i played a Squier fretless jazz before and did not like it unless I play with my thumb. If I pluck with my finger tips, sounds a bit "plastic". Then switch for portamento, and am facing the same issue. Did you alter your plucking in any way to change the sound?
