I Don't own The ibanez, I apologize for not having a plethora of knowledge on the topic. But a "your **** out of luck" or check out _______ pickups would be alot more informative then "Learn how your equipment works" or "you need to get over that"

I have an active five string and I love the sound I'm just not a fan of needing to put 9v's in my bass. Too each his own.

appreciated everyone :), No way didn't know it had a preamp and was passive, shows you how much homework I've been doing haha. Nothing wrong with the battery slot, just un-appealing makes me feel like my bass is a more toy then a guitar being battery powered and all. just personal preference.

Rickenbacker they play like butter, and Fenders because they can take a beating without missing a beat.

It's proving most difficult to find information online that may help me identify the head because of the similarities between some of Sunn's models.
