i didnt show the front because they are more pure, but the alder is nitro finish, the other is poly so i dont know ... is simple to dent the alder one, but because of the nitro. i also write two weeks ago to fender japan, but of course they dont answer, probably they even read the mail...

i can see you are cool, it's ok. i also belive the version says basswood is light if you compare to alder, but my basses are the same. is not simple to talk about this, i already notice with liuthiers and musicians. but is possible really nobody knows a real rules for to recognize...

..... not only basswood, for the 62 some model are basswood and some model are alder. and the 75 is only swamp ash.

the radius also is different from this two basses, i have a japan 62, the top version , with nitro finish, is the one used leo fender at the time for guitars and basses. ussually jazz bass 62 from japan they have normal poly finish. also the hardware is different on this poly finish model.
