The bass player and our singer came over to my place last Friday to rehearse. It was great to hear a real bass player play through my LMIII and GK Neo112. He didn't have to eq it much. Just a hair above 12 o'clock on the Low and Mid-Low. Granted it wasn't a full band mix but the amp sounded...

I haven't tried the markbass cabs so I can't comment on them but I went with a GK Neo 112-II for the size and weight (edit: and price!). It also sounds bigger than a 112 should! Seems to pair well with my LMIII. I also have another one coming at the end of May so that I can run 2 and get 500...

I have to say those Randy Jackson heads are really sweet looking. I bet they sound great as well.

I just picked up a Markbass LMIII and a GK Neo 112 and there is some barely audible white noise coming from the cab. It gets more pronounced when I turn the gain on the amp up. I hooked up a guitar amp to the speaker and I could still hear the same white noise so I'm thinking it's something...

Another newbie question. So the Neo is a 4 conductor speakon so it can be run in bi-amp mode, but I should only get a 2 conductor speakon because the LMIII is only a 2-pole connector: 1+=signal 1-=gnd Is that right and what brand do people recommend? I probably only need a 3 to 4 foot cable.

Another question: I just received my GK Neo 112-III cab but it didn't come with a speakon cable. I'm assuming that I can use a 1/4 speaker cable from the 1/4 output of the LMIII to the 1/4 full-range input of the GK without issue. I'm not using the cab in bi-amp mode but should I buy a high...
