    Thunderbird stolen in Toronto.

    I have no pictures, but it's a brown sunburst Epiphone T-bird, with one strap button, and many scratches. It was also stolen with my laptop computer. and there is no insurance claim one either, so we desperately need them back. thanks.

    Thunderbird Fretless?

    The Thunderbrid IV is very influenced by the strings you put on it. I had some stainless rounds, and it was zingy and bright, but now it's got nickel rounds on it, and it's now a smooth bass. GEt an IV, defret and epoxy, and apply Hi-Beams/other bright strings. Profit.

    Got the Roto's and it sounds like roundwound strings, even with the tone rolled off Let's see how it lasts.

    I put 7150's on my T-bird, and they sounded really good new, but mellowed out, and can't get a decent(IMO) tone out of them. Going to get the Roto's for now, maybe if they're no good, the spring the Extra cash for Thomastiks. Do they really stay bright for years?

    My local store doesn't stock Thomastiks, but they do have Rotosound, D'Addario, Fender, GHS, DR, and Ernie Ball strings. Out of those, what is my best option? I'm thinking Rotosound.

    I've read reviews from people who'ver used them, and my old bass teacher said they were just thumpy and expensive. Right now, I'm leaning toward Roto's.

    I've heard Thomastik Flats sound quite subdued and dead. And thanks for the recommendation of Chromes. Just found out Waters used RS77LD strings. Don't know what that means.

    Is there a flatwound string with a good top end, similar to a roundwound string? Not Rotosound amount of treble, but like some top end. I heard Roger Waters used flats, what did he use?
