whats the main diff? the 70's logo? I have played a few of the newer mexican made fenders and they have a very nice build to them. played a classic that was much better than one of the american standards!

The primary difference is the option of the maple fretboard coming back.

Never been a fan of maple necks, but lake placid blue or sunburst with maple neck made me say, "wow," outloud...

Thats a bit strange, i thought it was a pretty good thing on the 08!
Wonder if it will be back?
Also you only get a gig bag now, thats a bit cheap after the SKB case they gave away last year!
