Ive been noticing that many people who were trying to maintain an illusion of sanity have seemingly let loose this last year. Everyone is finally as miserable seeming as they really are. As a lifelong grump/doom and gloomer I find it refreshing.

Yes we don't hear below 20hz, but that information interacts with audio that we do hear, not to mention FEEL! The first time I really felt subharmonics was a near religious experience. The LSD probably helped.

You are really off the money on a few points- First off, as a 'punk kid' in the 90s who inherited my parents record and tape collection, just kept buying records instead. It wasn't an "FU" to the record companies, it wasn't an audiophile thing, it was pure economics. I could go to the store...

Great advice, we did off a lot of gear when the kids came (mostly her antique guitars and my monster SVT rig and vintage fenders) We still have enough gear for the mothers of invention to put on a whole set in the garage and its going to stay that way, most likely forever. Glad your gear glut...

I see many of those early berg cabs around and have yet to see one with distressed fur. I think at this point its safe to call the stuff on berg cabs something else. Anyone remember the short lived tolex MESA cabs used in the early 00's? it was like 'bubbly' looking and had a strange puffyness...

Im actually shocked at the sheer volume of Kustom and plush amps I see that are NOT all nasty and messed up. Most I see still look awesome. Whats up w/that? I personally destroyed one rather gently loading it into the van.

Title says it all! I have an 800rb with rack ears that I would like to swap for non rack sides. Im going to take them to the metal shop and mutilate them otherwise. Anyone?
