Does anybody know what type of finish is used on the Icons? Mine has a noticeable dent on the front of the body that might be able to be taken care of.

*Please correct me if I'm wrong* My Icon has the same issue with the bridge PU. When I restring it next week I'm going to unsrcew the PU and flip it around so that the "staples" are facing the bridge. From what I can tell the strings will not be able to touch the pole pieces anymore after that.

Hey guys, it's been a while since I was looking at Hofners, and i have a few questions. Why are the Ignition and CT modles more expensive now? And how does the quality compare to that of a Squire CV or VM series? Also if anyone could compare it to an Epiphone Dot that would be great...

It's not that, I've just never done something like this before and I don't have a back up bass if i mess up these two. So I want to be to be sure that i know what's involved in doing this

well i took off the pick guard from the mim deluxe active. amd it wont fit on the squireso im guessing its a no go for right now, and ill have to do a bunch of PITA work

So besides setup (and the neck bokts lining up), is it just a matter of taking off the necks and switching them?
