What do you want done with your gear when you pass away?

We are not "owners', but "caretakers"..... I had a few dozen instruments until 2009-2011 when my business failed and I had to sell most everything. I have a spreadsheet for everything from amps to pedals to instruments with "what I paid" and "what it's worth on the market (realistically)" but...

True that. I worked at Gibson (not in the guitar divisions), and I always used to give the Product Manager poopie (lovingly) about "when are you going to do it right?".... and then Epi did (once again) what Gibson USA refused to do, lol....

In the meantime, I dig this bass. Have a friend with a natural '76 and it goes toe-to-toe with it

One of my buds playing my '99 Gibby. At that time I was into my old P-bass, and was playing "Rick" in a Cheap Trick Tribute outside of Chicago. So, my bassist played either my short scale Hamer 12ver or this. I had access to some '76 nickel pups A few years back I bought a Dean import...

Ugh.... THOSE pics didn't help my BAS any, lol...you're right, the 'burst looks fab. Knowing the mgr. at the local GC (who got my white one for under 600), I may be going back....

The Epi has great bang for the buck, I like these pups as much as vintage ones. Next for me is the burst.

Want to sell it? Bone stock? Oh, and yes that was a stock bridge, it has two threaded posts that hold an ashtray bridge cover on. That big circle was just for the ground wire. Funny, I ended up working 14 years at Gibson, lol.

That blows me away. That was my very 1st bass in 1971. I also had the cover. Parents bought it for me brand new. I have been looking for this very bass all these years and yours (besides being in incredible shape) is the very 1st I've come across.

Not mine, but for a pre-Fender @ $450 OBO, wish I needed another one! [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

No more love for SWR? Out of biz, but pre-Fender stuff is still available, right? Or is everyone hanging on to them for dear life? If I could, I would buy another and use both onstage. Why? Because I could. God, I love my 8x8. I will never part with baby.

    The Official Variax Bass Club

Got one, a sunburst 700 that I love. I had a Hamer 12 ver (short scale) that I let my bassist use during my Cheap Trick tribute and always loved that could get that Petersson sound. If the electronics ever take a dump, I'm putting in traditional pickups. It plays that good. I also own a...
