Hey I checked for distortion, it's definitely not there. Just sounds normal through the hum. I don't know anything about the electronics of this stuff so I won't be able to fix that alone. Sad.

So I got moved into our new space and I'm still getting the same problem. I don't really know what to do from here:'(

The problem did seem less prominent when I remove the power conditioner. I'm starting to think it's the power in the apartment. I move into the practice space tomorrow. Hoping it goes away.

The orange cab is 4 ohm. It only lasts about 15-20 seconds at most once i take it off standby. Even if i let it sit on standby for a long time. I removed the tubes and made sure they were seated well. I still haven't tested the tubes at all. But the bias is solid.

Thanks for the feedback guys! That's what my initial thought was, just wanted to be sure I wasn't wrecking anything. I've swapped out one tube at a time on two different occasions. And they're all just garbage now. Time to start fresh. I'll let y'all know how it goes

Hey, I'm not really sure if it would affect my tone at all but would anyone advise making my bass a string through? I have a mim fender precision that sounds great and if I can make it even better I'd like to. Is there any real benefit to string through bodies?
