I've just bought a Super Symmetry compressor, even though I use the X7 as my main preamp. Does anyone use these two (or a HL in place of the SYM) together? Or would it be overkill to overlap two compressors?

I've just noticed, that the DP-3X is no longer available in the Tech21 offer in the Thomann Store. Does anyone know anything about it?

In my case it was the signal coming from a TonePump preamp in the Spector Euro that was played reasonably hard with a pick. When plugged in directly to a hybrid amp it quickly caused the tube preamp section to go into nice overdrive, however it would overload the DP-3X.

I had the same problem with my unit. I've even emailed with Tech21 about it, unsure what to do. Turns out that if you overload the unit with a VERY hot signal, it starts to produce this weird sound, although it shouldnt damage the preamp itself. I think they've even mentioned it in the YYZ...
