an important factor of the 810 is the ear level speakers. you don't get that with your 212 down at your knees.

are you guys telling me I blow a 500watt speaker with a 1000watt amp? but that I should use that setup at without the amp cranked? what happens if I use a distortion/fuzz pedal?

I went through three different ampeg 810 cabs before trying a NV412. I've run the cabs using an SVT-VR. Overall the NV412 is a much better cab then any 810 I ever played. The lows are better controlled and I get a much better high frequency response (without a tweeter, I hate the sound of...

That amp puts out 1200watts mono-bridged @ 4 Ohms your cab is only rated 800-Watts 4 Ohms so you're probably overpowering your cab and those popping sounds are probably your speaker voice coils being over extended. avoid doing this, you're going to blow your speakers!

and to answer the question "how to stack them" I just use hockey pucks between them (and on the floor) to not damage the cabs!

measure your wall voltage and report back. (and consider driving your amp will reduce the voltage even more) Does the Classic have the same safety feature as the SVT-VR (going into standby with low voltage)?
