    Pickup rings for Gibson Mudbuckers?

Does anyone make or know of someone who makes the pickup rings GIbson started using for their EB0/EB-3 mudbuckers in the '70s ?

How Do I Handle a Seller's Mistake on a Facebook Marketplace Order?

Thanks all :). He said it was his mistake, so I offered to split it with him when the bass gets here. Had he been like "hey, pay up" I would have said no xD.

How Do I Handle a Seller's Mistake on a Facebook Marketplace Order?

Bought a bass on FB marketplace with shipping offered in the listing. Messaged the seller and showed them a UPS shipping estimate from PirateShip that was $45 (maybe $60 with insurance). The seller also did their own shipping estimate that was about the same price. We agreed on a deal for...

T BIRD OWNERS! advice on nut width on epi thunderbirds.

Reviving a dead thread I know, but I can absolutely confirm that the Epiphone Goth T-bird necks (At least 2007 Korean models) are like a P-bass. Measured one with digital calipers, and the nut was 42.75mm/1.68". That is within factory tolerance of 44mm/1.73". Hilariously, if you want a...

    New Aria Pro II SB1000

At one point or another I've owned at least 7 original 1980s models (ZZB, SB-1000, RSB-900, SB-900, SB-RSZ, SB-700, etc) and 3 of the high-end reissues (SB-1000 and SB-R150). The reissues I've had, had slightly larger/blockier bodies and wider/flatter necks. Neck angles are also different...

Clevinger bass guitar by Robert Lee

Hello, I'm pretty sure I bought the bass you have pictured here, I was trying to find more information about the builder and came across this thread. I really like odd stuff and this definitely fits the bill. I can give some information off the bat before I dive into it more and take it apart...

John Entwistle playing a Hofner bass

I like to think he would have played something like this with some distortion/fuzz if it were around back then.

Ok I fixed it. put more backbow in the neck and raised the saddles. No more dead spots. It's not perfect but it's playable.

Ibanez EDA900 Neck hump/Neck issue Solution??

Thanks for the info, I'm taking everything into consideration. I've had a few months trying to get it setup to my liking and never been able to. I do like the sound, but I'm getting to the point that the neck is bothering me too much to keep it.

Ibanez EDA900 Neck hump/Neck issue Solution??

Anyone with an Ibanez EDA900 experience a problem of notes fretting out around frets 14-19? I had a problem with string height and too much backbow initially so I shimmed the neck, gave it some relief and raised the action a bit. Now the whole neck is fine except for those 4-5 frets. I'm...

Reducing pickup output to achieve better balance in 2 pickup basses?

👍Don't take no for an answer. If they're making a new batch to address the imbalance, you should ask them to retroactively send you one of the new pickups. If they're smart they'll offer that to anyone who's unsatisfied with their first run Z7.

NBD! My first Alembic! Someone please school me on this beauty

I stand corrected. But you can still order the switch here Link Removed from their official store. It doesn't seem to be affected by the main website being down. I guess I stand corrected again :p, I always thought activator was just a series 1 minus the switches for people who didn't need...

NBD! My first Alembic! Someone please school me on this beauty

There is a trim pot on the filter that changes the amount of brightness/attack. You can also mod it with a Q-switch if you want the ability to alter the amount of boost the filter provides. Alembic sell them prewired for $50 but you can also make your own by taking off one of the yellow caps (on...

    Which Alembic?

I ended up buying the ones off Reverb because I wanted to put them in a Washburn. Turns out I'm happy with how the Washburn sounds stock, if you're still interested I'll list them in the classifieds here for $400 plus the tax/shipping I paid on Reverb and they're yours.

Reducing pickup output to achieve better balance in 2 pickup basses?

You really should measure your pickup resistance before you spend more money. A $15 multimeter will save you hundreds on the wrong pickups. Or at least ask Sire if they can give you that info. While it's not directly indicative of output, it can help you compare like from like pickup types...
