The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

8.4lbs for me, which I'm more than happy about! Mine has a bit of neck dive, comes with the territory though. I'm just happy not to have a chunky neck on a 70s, tbh.

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Found my white whale last week -- all original (except the brass nut) '75 precision with a jazz style neck, vintage white. I've been looking online to find anything similar to this, but I can't seem to find anything. This was a special request order, one owner, and the owner is from a reputable...

    All gold ball ends inquiry

You guys are amazing ;_;. As a newbie of under 2 years, I would've never thought of any of these steps. Thanks to everyone who's been helping so far! To answer your question, I checked the E string (and D) and didn't see a coat. So I'm pretty certain it's not Elixir.

I just recently bought a used Vintage II Jazz that came with incredible strings. The tech didn't know which brand, as it came in with them. Theyre roundwound, soft feeling but maybe because they're broken in. Any help would be wonderful! Pic included (there's no cloth at the top of the strings...

    Chicago Luthier

I recently purchased a 1970 Precision Bass. It feels great, amazing neck, etc... but it needs to be refretted. This is my first vintage, so I have two questions. 1) Does anyone have recommendations for a reputable in the Chicago/Chicago land area. Traveling isn't an issue, so feel free to...
