I recently purchased a 1970 Precision Bass. It feels great, amazing neck, etc... but it needs to be refretted. This is my first vintage, so I have two questions.
1) Does anyone have recommendations for a reputable in the Chicago/Chicago land area. Traveling isn't an issue, so feel free to recommend anywhere nearby.
2) Is it good practice to save as many frets on a vintage as possible, or do you tend to replace everything. The reason I'm asking is that it only buzzes out past the 14th fret on A/D strings, and some on the G.
Much thanks!
