Comfort Strapp buckles keep breaking

Hello everyone,

I love the Comfort Strapp but the I've broke 3 single buckles over the years. Two of them originals and I bought one of them online. I'm not even playing heavy basses and I'm not pushing down on my instruments.

Any buckles that are made out of better materials?

Wow. I currently own 5 or 6 Comfort Strapps that are all between 12 and 20 years old, and I’ve never had a problem with the plastic/composite (?) buckles breaking.

Give me an hour at Lowe's and I'm sure I could cobble something together from the parts drawers, plumbing, whatever. I'm leaning towards a metal replacement along the lines of a climber's carabiner...which came in handy when doing a solo ascent on El Capitan.

Seriously, I have trouble navigating my spiral staircase.

Add: a simple U bolt can be employed although I'd give some serious thought to padding the exposed metal surfaces.

Same here. I have one from more than 15 years, still use it daily and never had this problem. No chance on yours... Or perhaps you can have one 3D printed based on an original one you still have ?

Wow! Not the smartest deign I've seen. Like others have stated, maybe a fabric or hobby store would have a metal equivalent.

My favorite straps...my issue with them is that they don't stay in place....they slowly get longer. Thankfully, I've never broken the part that you're having trouble with.

I'd either have it sewn together or add a "2 inch webbing buckle" (I think thats 2 inch that you're holding there) .... Amazon $10.... but jez..... how much is that strap?

The leather piece that hooks to the strap button broke on my Comfort Strapp, but that happened after 30 years of use. I’m on my second and last comfort strapp

I'll be the fifth here to state no problems with Comfort Straps as described by OP, during similar use periods.

Write the company a letter. I had a plastic buckle on a camera case fail almost immediately and I wrote the company. They sent me a whole new case of better quality.

Try CFG or NeoTech straps
